Online Poker Expert/Affiliate Marketing Industry Veteran, Randy Ray Joins PokerAffiliatePrograms.com as its new Community Director.
PokerAffiliatePrograms.com (PAP), the Internet’s largest affiliate marketing community dedicated exclusively to the online poker industry (and sister company to CAP), is happy to announce the latest member of its team of online marketing professionals: Introducing Randy Ray, PAP’s new Community Director!
A seasoned veteran of the online poker industry and a highly successful affiliate marketer in his own right, Randy brings to PAP an impressive background in both marketing and online poker. As a previous SEO consultant for PokerStars, he has direct marketing experience for the world’s largest online poker website (and one of PAP’s most popular clients). Randy was also one of the original owners of Poker Affiliate World, giving him direct experience dealing with the types of issues that confront the PAP community on a daily basis. He’s also earned a name for himself in the affiliate marketing industry as an intelligent, resourceful, innovative thinker who knows how to make an affiliate program successful.
Randy’s role will include taking over as community moderator for PAP’s thriving message boards – which, with several thousand active members, is among the largest such communities in the world of online gaming. He will also take on the challenge of helping to manage the website’s content and corollary material, as well as taking over as host of the popular weekly PAP Radio podcast. And, for readers of the PAP Weekly newsletter, look for Randy to begin offering exclusive weekly content offering unique insight into the world of online marketing, straight from the mind of a 10-year veteran of the industry.
„We’re thrilled to have Randy on board, leading our efforts at PAP,” commented Lou Fabiano, President and Founder of both CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com and PokerAffiliatePrograms.com”. His background is not only very impressive but perfectly suited to this position. We’re very excited to see the new leadership initiatives he can bring to PAP and its thousands of online community members. It’s easy to imagine PAP getting even more popular and successful under his leadership.”
So far, Randy has taken a strong command of the PAP Forums, laying down general guidelines for the community and outlining what behavior is and isn’t welcome at the highly trafficked forums. This leadership has earned him rave reviews from many long-time PAP community members.
Additionally, Randy has jumped into the PAP Blog head-first, offering up an impressive variety of highly informative articles on an almost daily basis. Most of the articles he’s written revolve around tips and advice for those interested in building successful affiliate marketing programs based around online poker – a topic that is, needless to say, always welcome subject matter for PAP’s many long-time members and casual visitors.
Background
A lifelong resident of Texas, Randy grew up in the North East corner of that state. Among many other interests, he developed a love for playing card games at a young age, starting with the games of spades and solitaire. It wouldn’t take long, though, for his simple card-playing pastime to evolve into a full-fledged love for poker.
This love of poker got an extra boost when Randy discovered the book Poker Nation by Andy Bellin. That not only turned him into a serious poker player, but was the catalyst that ultimately changed his career from successful sales professional to poker enthusiast and online marketing guru.
For the past five years, poker playing has been the dominant force in Randy’s lifestyle. He’s played poker online at almost every major online card room, as well as playing the game in person in the premier card rooms of Las Vegas. He’s also thrived as a poker player in some of the „underground” card rooms in Dallas, but he prefers to make the short drive to Oklahoma to play there.
Randy has also, over the past decade, developed a mastery of online marketing. He has written content and articles for numerous websites, as well as becoming an expert at the highly lucrative field of search engine optimization (SEO), the king of online marketing techniques. This expertise led him to a position working directly for PokerStars, heading up that company’s SEO efforts for more than a year. During that period he helped to triple PokerStars’ search engine referrals – no small accomplishment given that website’s popularity and its current domination of the online poker market.
